Im sitting in my bedroom. Smelling dinner. listening to my family talk.
Paige put up new pictures of the sahara desert. just as i was finishing up my tears from her photos, i found the link to paul and maggy's wedding pictures. and realized that the tears were just getting started.
i'm so happy. and i'm so blessed that people i care about are also having incredible experiences that i can follow (paige, paul, maggy etc.) and that others get to see and listen and love with us (all of you).
i still haven't carefully looked through either albums because im emotionally overwhelmed. (all i've been thinking about is mom and the girls getting here. ) but so far, my favorite photos from them follow. just sharing some of the cool things that are happening all over this world, some things that are helping me realize how blessed i am in this life and how excited i am for ALL OF IT.
i hope that these photos will help you smile and remind you how awesome the world and people and love and family is (are?!?!)
(INSERT PHOTO OF YOU SMILING!!!)
you're the best! we certainly missed you, but glad you're having a wonderful time and can't wait to hear more of your tales!
ReplyDeleteNo doubt. Life is big! Not that you didnt already know that, but i'm sure that you have gained a whole different outlook on just how big life and the world are. I'm both happy and proud that you are able to be in the position you are. It is always great to hear of your exciting activites. Surely you are opening new windows in seeing the importance of good friends and family. It will be so "wild and crazy" when all the girls get together over there! Keep us informed of the day to day rituals. I know that you are going to come back to us matured in so many ways; not that you were'nt before you left, but I can hardly imagine the things you are learning about life and yourself. Keep everyone safe when they get there. Don't let them get too nutty. You know how it gets! Ha Ha. Love you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, Julia. You pull it all together from some drastically different corners of the world. You zero in on what is important and sum up your love of life. I am so excited to see you and spend time talking and catching up; to hug you and see that smile in person. Am packed now and wondering how I will fair at school tomorrow, as all I can think of is traveling to you. Your sisters are just as excited, both scurrying to get packed and on their way! We will see you soon and measure how much you have changed and grown. God bless you, honey.
ReplyDeleteJuls! You are so amazing, and I continue to live my life through your blog this fall.
ReplyDeleteSInce you are in school, however, and presumably you are "studying", I have a homework assignment for you. Maggy and I are planning on going to Spain in the spring. Could you talk to people about when the best times in the spring are to visit? We know we want to go to Barcelona and Madrid, and we are trying to find a third place, preferably somewhere where we can spend a lot of time sitting on the beach.
Could Alacante be this place? It seems so beautiful and delightful. What do you think?
